Hey Everyone! I hope all is well. I found myself struggling to find a suitable podcast to listen to while at work today. While pondering the idea of audiobooks, I thought about Lee’s praise for the book Stick and Rudder. To my surprise, it’s on Spotify! I’m just wondered if this is truly the correct literature. With what I’ve heard so far, there is very little doubt that this IS the audio form of Lee’s sacred family texts.
I just clicked through a few chapters and glad it isn’t a completely robotic AI voice like 98% of the aviation audio books are. Especially for dry topics like instrument flying it’s purely awful.
That’s definitely the book!
We’ll have to get @LeeGriffing to make an episode about the book similar to the style of Founders Podcast with David Senra. (I’ve been binge listing to Founders this year.) That way we wouldn’t have to brave the AI voice.
Thats it! Great find! If I ever do any professional CFI-ing again - that’ll be required reading.
When @RobertBerger ? I haven’t read the book in more than 15yrs. I’d have to brush up
It would be a solo episode. Listen to Founders Podcast to get the format… I recommend episode #333 that’s the first one I listened to and got me hooked. It’s about the founding of RedBull. https://pod.link/founders/episode/NmNmN2VhOTQtZTQzZi00NzJkLWI3OWUtMDVhZDBlZTIyNGYz
