Sheppard Air Results!

So, clearly Sheppard Air works. Finished the exam in under 45 minutes - longest part was flipping through the test supplement book (which you do not practice using Sheppard). I only missed 1 question- and I know the one I missed. It was a holding question and was between direct and teardrop entry (I clearly chose wrong,).

I will say the step where you have to go through the entire question bank (for IRA currently 1005 questions)- it’s painfully long. I probably took more time than needed reading through explanations and trying to understand questions I was missing (shame on me for trying to learn), but I have to say I will for sure use Sheppard for the rest of my written exams.

I’m taking the FII tomorrow- which everywhere I’ve read said it’s the same question bank- Sheppard says it’s not (money grab?), so I’ll update tomorrow. But to say the least, the test that I paid to prep for- I was very prepared.

98 is pretty damn good!

I’m betting you can get 100 on the one tomorrow. It can’t be that different.

I’m kinda excited to try it with the AGI, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten 100 on a FAA written before…

Got another 98! All the questions were on the IRA study guide except for one about CFI logging actual instrument with a student. I didn’t miss that one- a dang VOR question got me (look at these CDIs and tell us where you are).

Damn… so close!

Both can log it as Actual IFR right?

Yeah, if it’s actual IMC the student gets to log PIC (if they are the sole manipulator of the controls) and IMC, the instructor as well because they are legally the PIC on the instrument flight plan.

@GeeNCPilot yes, the more you get into it you’ll hear a lot more about logging PIC and acting PIC. It can get muddy.
