What's everyone's favorite Pen for Aviation use?

Super basic but I like my writing implements. A bad day at work starts when somehow I don’t have MY pen. So what’s everyone’s favorite Pen for their aviation activities? I’ve had several favorites over the years. I know @RobertBerger has too. I’ve come full circle back around to the Bic SOFT Feel Medium diameter tip click pen. No frills.

Pilot G2 Limited. It comes with a 0.7mm cartridge in it, but I always replace it with a 0.5mm cartridge. The weight and balance in your hand is difficult to beat (for the price) and they hold up really well.

They make a 0.38mm cartridge as well that I was liking until they kept failing on me. The 0.38 would either stop releasing ink or dump all the ink at once.

I keep several of the plastic version’s of the G2’s in all my flight bags, logbook cases, car ect.

I have systematically throne away all other cheap pens in my house/car/anywhere I have a say in the matter so I don’t run across any junk pens.

I have a specific drawer in my desk where I keep nicer more expensive pens that I never use, but would feel bad tossing in the trash.

Been exclusively using G2’s for over a decade now. I own one of these Limited’s in every color they make except pink. Truly can’t recommend it enough!

Man, I’m gonna get one of those Limited G2’s. Didn’t know they existed. I moved away from the .38 G2 after so many failures. I was down to my last work shirt on a trip and one exploded in my pocket.
I had to go to TJ Max on an overnight and buy a plain dress shirt to wear the next couple days.

The guy can buy any pen in the world and even he (albeit after I did) discovered that the G2 Limited is the way to go! Haha

@RobertBerger maybe it was supplied to him?

Maybe… These things are possible. :man_shrugging:

@RobertBerger What about the bic Atlantis?

Not familiar with it
